Welcome to Nanotech Computing. Current state-of-the-art microprocessors have more than 40 million transistors; by 2012 they could well have over five billion. Nanometer scale computer design is already with us with such marvels as the Ipod, the iPhone and other smart phones, the newest game systems and of course, the new netbooks, portable computers and the old standards – desktops…

The Nanoelectronics Research Initiative plans, A US initiative covering the next 15 years, is aimed to create devices with features less than 10 nanometers – or billionths of a meter – in size, which is less than a wavelength of visible light. When you get below 10 nanometers, you get to distances on the order of a few atoms, and hit fundamental physical limits no engineering can solve. At this distance, electrons can jump back and forth at random and you cannot maintain states of one or zero distinctly. Whatever company or companies have the winning technologies here will be immensely profitable to shareholders. Thank you for visiting and supporting NanotechComputing.com.

By Steve Hill What do you think the future of the personal and business computer will be? Things have moved on at such a pace over the last decade and this is set to continue in the next few years. Competition is as fierce is ever with the computer companies thinking of new interesting ideas to offer to the market on a monthly basis. In this article I will be giving my opinions on the future of computers.

I have owned a personal computer for the last eleven years. We now have one main computer and two laptops in our household. My fourteen year old step-daughter spends a great deal of time on her laptop. She completes her homework and sources information on the internet. She also enjoys communicating with her friends on sites like facebook, msn messenger and myspace.

I have a number of websites and also promote the sites of other webmasters; I therefore also spend a large amount of my time on the computer.

I was thinking earlier today that I would love to be able to tune into the television on my personal computer. In this day and age I am amazed that this is not available, I think that it will be in the future. I am aware that you are able to buy an add on to make this possible but just think it should be available on all computers as standard. It should be as easy as connecting to the internet.

I think that within the next ten years people will be making the majority of their phone calls via their computers, using a microphone or head phones, they will be watching television on their computers, they will be controlling the lights, heating and other household appliances through their p.c. Basically the computer will be an even more integral part of one’s life than it is today, I can not wait for it to happen.

By Jay Javelosa

We cant be alive with no mobile phone nowadays. Diverse people from all kind of life apply the use of a cellular telephone to correspond with their cherished ones, contemporaries or their friends. But all over the globe, cellular phone interactions are regularly business in nature. Particularly for on the go clients, portable communications is crucial to aid the easiness of organization between businesses or companies. Since most of the mobile telephone buyers are categorized under the business-type class, then it is only reasonable to address the desires of these clients in a portable device.

Frequent requirements of business users are what cellular telephone developers frequently incorporate in their top of the line devices. Electronic mail is the key method of communication in a corporation wide scenario. Logging onto the World Wide Web is also essential in terms of seeking for updates and of course to be able to send electronic mails in the first place. Business users desire to be liberated from the aggravation of bringing huge machines thus having the characteristics they need in a cellphone is extremely important since it converges all the things they want in one device. Because of this fact, according to techno geeks, the mobile phone will be the all-in-one gadget of the future. Several people describe the cellular phone as a mobile computer since it does all the tasks of a personal computer.

cellular phone carrier subscription is an additional necessity so that these developments to be implemented and utilized by consumers. Thousands of cellphone operators exist for one purpose and that is to offer the needed type of service for ones needs. A client can select what type of package he wants to buy depending on circumstances like budget, user friendliness and characteristics. Buyers eyeing for a reasonably priced service should eye for a prepaid subscription. Aside from being able to carefully keep track of your cellphone usage, cellphone operators doesnt typically need a potential subscriber to be locked into a contract or have a good credit line, since all services will be compensated upfront. The problem with this plan is that it has inadequate features (e.g. online access, WAP), these need to be activated and added tolls apply. In contrast to prepaid subscriptions, post paid accounts do obligate the consumer to have a respectable credit standing and be locked into a contract. This is the ideal package for business-type buyers since all the wanted innovations are already enabled and ready to use.

Based on what we are looking at in the marketplace right now with regard to mobile computing, the future does have more fantastic things in store, innovation-wise. Mobile phones will be, with no uncertainty, the all-in-one mobile processing device of the future.

By Lance Winslow If you had a super computer what mysteries of the life experience would you wish to discover? What if you have a handheld super computer attachment for your Blackberry? What if you iPhone was just a little bit larger but also doubled as a Super Computer – Imagine that. Can you imagine the market potential for something like this, what if you invented one? Well, someone has already beat you to the concept as the BBC has just reported on a project, which is well under way.

A European group of research scientists are now projecting this concept will be a reality soon. Such wide spread use could change everything we know, assist humans in all sorts of endeavors, eliminate foolhardy mistakes and monitor your bio-system to perfection. These super hand-held computers will use nanowires and will be able to process 100s of trillions of calculations per second. The Nanowires are so small you could put 100 along side a human hair and they would still be smaller.

The discovery, which led to the concept came when researchers kept making the nanowires smaller and smaller and found that they had new behaviors, which were predictable, and controllable. Therefore these behaviors could be used like switches to signify one’s and zero’s. Still, some are skeptical, but in 15 years, who knows, we might all be sporting super computer hand-held computers allowing us to unlock the secrets of the Universe.

Maybe they will be called the iSuperComputer? Maybe they will be called the BlackNano by Blackberry or maybe they will sport a Dimensional Plane Operating system, instead of a Windows or Vista environment? Super Nano Computers cometh, do not leave the house without it.

By Lance Winslow Virtual Reality technologies are moving ahead as fast as most of the modern day science like alternative energy, BioTech, Nanotech, Super Computers, or Artificial Intelligence. Not too far off into the future you will be able to sit in your living room and eating your dinner and drinking red wine sitting at Jesus’ Last Supper, you’ll be able to blast off with the Space Shuttle, watch the Roman Gladiators in a 2200 year old stadium or sit down with the past President of your choice for coffee. All in virtual reality and it will be so real, you’ll forget where you actually are.

So, what technologically advanced hardware will you need to accomplish this, what sort of computer hardware will your living room have in it? Well, you’ll have a few holographic projection units, several large flat panel screens of very thin material which will double as your wallpaper. You will have a special scent machine that will deliver the aroma that fits the scene; I hope you are not planning on milking cows in your virtual reality living room, peeyooo!

You will also have a modern day sound synthesizer with something similar to today’s surround sound units. The first generation of this highly evolved technology will include helmets and a good amount of augmented reality technologies. But the later versions will not require the cumbersome helmet display units. Of course, to truly be authentic, you might want to brush up on your foreign languages, which you can also learn full immersed in the foreign city of your choice while learning at home.

Lastly, you will want to have a cool wardrobe of clothing that can camouflage itself for the scene. Indeed, you will become a character in your own virtual reality movie. You can be anything, go anywhere, live any life, without leaving home. Pretty cool isn’t it?

The Luna Divider asked:

By future proof I mean one that wouldn’t become obsolete for the next few years. Keep in mind that the computer will be for gaming, and that I’ll probably buy one game in 2008 and that will last for awhile.

MicroElectroMechanical System
